Robert P. Uttley, 91, of Smith Street died Tuesday, July 23, 2013 at Greenville Health Center. He was the beloved husband of Dorothy M. (Stevens) Uttley. They were married for 65 years.
Born in Providence, a son of the late Percy and Eleanor (Allen) Uttley. He had lived in North Providence his whole life.
Robert had been a lithographer for the former J.C. Hall Company in Pawtucket, RI until his retirement. He was a sexton for St. Alban’s Church in Centerdale for 30 years.
He is also survived by his children, Carol J. Ouellette of North Providence, Sandra L. Smith of West Greenwich and David R. Uttley of Ashland, NH and a grandson, Justin R. Drescher. He was twin brother of the late Herbert Uttley and brother of the late Ernest Uttley.
His Funeral will be Thursday at 10am in Trinity Episcopal Church, 251 Danielson Pike, North Scituate, RI 02857. Burial in Highland Memorial Park, Johnston. Visitation Wednesday July 24, 4-6pm in ANDERSON-WINFIELD Funeral Home, Route 44 at Greenville Common, Greenville, RI.
