Walton E. Jordan, 56, of Tifton died Sunday, July 21, 2013, at Eastman Health Care in Eastman. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, July 24, 2013, in the Chapel of Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals. Rev. Greg Hester will officiate with burial to follow in Lenox City Cemetery. Nephew, Thomas Atkins, son-in-law, Trey Thomas and other family members will serve as pallbearers. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, July 23, 2013, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals.
Mr. Jordan was born on July 20, 1957 in Albany and was the son of Jimmy Jordan and Sara Stephens Jordan, both deceased. He was also preceded in death by his grandmother, Pauline Stephens, who raised him. He was retired and of the Baptist faith. He was also a veteran of the United States Army.
Mr. Jordan is survived by his wife, Darlene E. York Jordan of Tifton; two sons, Scott Jordan and Shaun Jordan, both of Tifton; one daughter and son-in-law, Kristi and Trey Thomas of Moultrie; two sisters, Kim Montague of Hahira and Stephanie Holcombe of Dalton; and four grandchildren, Kaley Jordan, Kainen Jordan, Quade Thomas and Landon Thomas.
