NATICK: Peter A. Krivicich, Jr., 79, of Natick died on Friday, July 19, 2013 at the Metrowest Medical Center in Framingham after being stricken at his residence earlier in the day.
He was born in Somerville on April 29, 1934 the son of the late Peter Krivicich and Mary (Saganich) Krivicich.
Peter is survived by his devoted wife of 50 years, Kathleen F. (O’Donnell) Krivicich of Natick. Beloved father of Robert P. Krivicich of Natick, John J. Krivicich of Natick and Dawn M. Krivicich of West Boylston. Brother of Frances Soldicich of Framingham, Theresa Chouinard and her husband Kenneth of Ashland, Mary Profit and her husband Ronald of Wayland and Joanne Krivicich of Framingham. Also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Peter has been a longtime resident of Natick and spent his earlier years in Arlington. He was a graduate of Natick High School and received his Certificate of Industrial Engineering from the Northeast Institute of Industrial Technology in Boston. He served his country proudly as a Private First Class with the United States Army. Peter was a self-employed general carpenter and began his successful career as an installer of hardwood floors until 1972 and then concentrated on general carpentry. He supported his sons in their younger years as a cubscout master with Natick Pack 40 of the Boy Scouts of America. He was a member of the J. J. McKays bowling league for many years. He was also a member of the Industrial Technology Engineering Society. He loved to travel with his wife Kathleen and his family. Peter especially enjoyed the time he spent with his family at their backyard pool. He also loved to spend time growing his vegetable garden.
Visitations will be held on Wednesday, July 24, 2013 from 4:00 to 8:00 pm at the John C. Bryant Funeral Home, 56 Pemberton Road (Off Rte 30), Cochituate Village, Wayland.
Family and friends may gather at the funeral home on Thursday, July 25, 2013 at 9:00 am followed by his Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 am at the Good Shepherd Parish at St. Zepherin’s Church, 99 Main St (Rte 27), Cochituate Village, Wayland.
Interment will be private at a later date.
