Obituary

Lillian “Lee” Farroba, 82, passed away peacefully at her Pearl Street home on July 17, 2013. She was the beloved wife of the late Joseph Farroba for 35 years until his death in March of 2000.
She was born in Yonkers, New York the daughter of the late Lillian Dorothy George and Miles Davis Goodwin. Lee moved to Cape Cod with her Mother and Aunt to open Captain Cargo gift shop in West Harwich. Moving to Provincetown in 1965 she married Joe Farroba and worked for Lucille and Vivian’s Clothing and Gifts at both the Commercial Street and Provincetown Inn locations. She then became the receptionist at Chateau Best Western for 32 summers. Lee was also involved with the VFW Woman’s Auxiliary serving as President and with the Nautilus Club of Provincetown. She loved lunches and dinner at her table at Fanizzi’s Restaurant as well as the Yardarm in Orleans. Lee also loved to host afternoon get-togethers in her yard with her extended family, Rick and Joey, who were both family friends and caregivers.
She leaves a son Joseph John Farroba and his wife Linda of North Attleboro. She is also survived by two grandchildren, Justine Padula and John Farroba, also of North Attleboro.
Relatives and friends are invited to visit the Gately Funeral Home, 94 Harry Kemp Way, Provincetown on Friday, July 26, 2013 at 10 AM for a memorial service with interment to follow at St Peter’s Cemetery in Provincetown.
