Rogelia M. Leon, 58, passed away Friday evening, July 19, 2013 at her residence surrounded by her family.
She came to Yulee, FL two weeks ago from Chicago, IL where she lived for the past 30 years.
Ms. Leon was of the Catholic Faith and attended the Spanish Mass at St. Michael Church in Fernandina Beach, FL. She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother and loved to cook for her family.
She was preceded in death by her father, Hipolito Leon, and her mother, Sabina Osio.
Survivors include her son and daughter in law, Armando and Victoria Rodriguez of Yulee, FL; brothers, Demetrio, Ranulfo, Catalino and Hipolito Leon; sisters, Maria, Manuela, Estela and Laura Leon; two granddaughters, Andrea and Adriana Rodriguez; and many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Tuesday, July 23, with the Rosary service being at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday in the Stephens Chapel at Green Pine Funeral Home. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celetrated at 9:30 a.m. Wednesday, July 24, at St. Michael Church, 505 Broome St., Fernandina Beach with Padre Heriberto Vergara, celebrant. Interment will be in Panteon La Cruz, San Agustin Atenango, Oaxaca, Mexico.
