Todd M. Roland, of Millbury, passed away peacefully on July 16, 2013 at the Rose Monahan Hospice Home. He leaves his parents, Donald and Paula (Couture) Roland of Wells, Maine and Casselberry, Florida; his brother, Jason Roland; a niece, Brady Roland both of Crested Butte, Colorado. He also leaves many aunts, uncles, and cousins. Todd was born in Warrenton, VA and graduated from Timberline High School in Lacey, Washington. He worked out of the Laborers’ Union, Local 243 in Worcester.
Todd was a sweet and gentle soul who maintained wonder and appreciation of new experiences and new places to discover. In his early years, he played baseball and football, and later was an avid fan of the Patriots and the Red Sox. Todd took great pleasure in the simple enjoyments of life, especially in time spent with his family enjoying good food. He was most joyful during the holidays while working side-by-side with his parents, preparing and cooking the holiday meal. He also loved nature and times spent with his parents in Wells, Maine. Todd’s spirit will live on in those who knew and loved him.
His family extends heartfelt thanks to the staff of the Rose Monahan Hospice Home for their excellent care and support. And also special thanks to Todd’s cousins Amy and Randy Widing and Lynne Ekblom for their additional assistance in helping Todd and his parents.
A memorial service will be held at a later date. O’CONNOR BROTHERS FUNERAL HOME, 592 Park Avenue, Worcester is directing arrangements.
