– Mary Beth (Giardino) Gaynor, 54, of Brockton died Monday July 15, 2013 at Signature Healthcare-Brockton Hospital surrounded by her loving family and friends. She was the loving wife of 33 years of James Francis Gaynor, III. They were married on June 21, 1980.
A lifelong resident of Brockton, Mary Beth was the beloved daughter of Carolyn F. (Pelosi) Giardino of Brockton and the late Nicholas J. Giardino. She attended Brockton schools and was a graduate of Brockton High School, Class of 1976.
Mary Beth was employed at several local businesses including Sidell’s Pharmacy, Savas' Hallmark Store, and Chadwick’s of Boston.
Mary Beth gave of her time as a volunteer for the Brockton Area Arc. She had a special affinity for Cape Cod beaches and the seashore. Mary Beth treasured time spent with family and friends whether dining out, at parties or family events.
Mary Beth will be remembered as a woman with a special sense of caring for others. She was especially able to help others face life’s challenges as she did, with her own manner of humor, cheerfulness and easy laugh.
In addition to her husband and mother, she is survived by two daughters Meghann Froio and her husband Andrew, and Caleigh Gaynor; a sister Lynne Tarr and her husband Karl; a brother Paul Giardino; and her grandson who was the light of her life, Nicholas James Gaynor, all of Brockton. She is also survived by a niece Nicole Pardo and a nephew Joe Buckley; her best friend Patricia “Patty” Moynihan of Raynham; her mother-in-law Shirley E. Gaynor of Brockton, and her extended family including many members of the Giardino and Gaynor families.
Visiting hours will be held in the Conley Funeral Home, 138 Belmont St. (Rte123) Brockton, Sunday 4-7pm. Her Funeral Mass will be Monday at 9:00 am in Our Lady of Lourdes Church.
