Mr. Roy Deloise Tritt
Augusta, GA – Entered into rest Wednesday, July 17, 2013, at University Hospital, Roy Deloise Tritt, 63, husband of Mrs. Linda Tritt.
Born in San Diego, CA in 1949, Mr. Tritt graduated from the University of Georgia in 1971, BBA Cum Laude with general honors. He also graduated from the University of Georgia School of Law in 1974, JD Cum Laude. He was a partner of Warlick, Tritt, Stebbins & Murray, LLP.
Mr. Tritt was the Dean of Augusta Law School. He was a Life Director of the Home Builders Association of Metro Augusta, where he also served as legal counsel for over 15 years. He was Trustee of the Institute for Continuing Legal Education for the State of Georgia, Chairman of the Legal Economics Section of the State Bar of Georgia, chairman of the Title Standards Revision Committee of the Real Property Section of the State Bar of Georgia, President of the Augusta-Richmond County Historical Society, President of the Exchange Club of Richmond County, the Southeastern Region of the National Model Railroad Association, Trustee of the National Model Railroad Association, President of the Central Savannah River Club, Treasurer of the Summerville Neighborhood Association, Treasurer of Aquinas High School PTO, a member of the Martinez-Evans Rotary Club, Leadership Augusta, the Augusta Bar Association and the Young Lawyers Section of State Bar of Georgia.
In addition to his wife, family members include his mother: Patricia Tritt; daughters: Deborah Tritt, Jennifer Kerr (Robert); grandchildren: Brycen Kerr, Linley Kerr; brothers: Robert Tritt (Kay); Patrick Tritt (Eunice); sister-in-law: Marcia Tillman and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father: Dr. Robert E. Tritt.
A funeral mass will be held Saturday, July 20, 2013, at 11:00 A.M. at St. Mary on the Hill Catholic Church with Fr. Avery Hanna officiating. Interment will follow in Westover Memorial Park. Pallbearers will include: Dr. Joseph J. Nichols, Jr., Frank O. Wilson, H. Scott Higgins, Samuel B. Hardy, R. Travis Gamble, Raymond Swann, and W. Clayton Colvin.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Katie’s Pool, Wilson Family Y, 3570 Wheeler Road, Augusta, GA 30909.
A prayer vigil will be held in the Chapel of Thomas Poteet & Son on Friday, July 19, 2013, at 6:00 P.M. Visitation will follow until 8:00 P.M.
