Maria Cecelia Almeida, age 87, of Fall River, passed away July 17, 2013 at Southpointe Nursing Home. Born in Ribeira Chã, São Miguel, Açores, she was the loving wife of Jose P. Almeida and daughter of the late João and Maria Rosario (Amaro) Craveiro. Prior to retiring, Maria worked for many years as a machine operator at Sagamore Mfg. Co.
In addition to her husband of Fall River, she is survived by her children: Americo "Mac" Almeida (wife Theresa) of Somerset and Joanne Martins (husband Tony) of Fall River; brother: João Caveiro of Fall River; 5 grandchildren; 1 great granddaughter; and several nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late Americo Caveiro and Joventina Loureiro
