Carl Douglas Fletcher
May 9, 1945 to July 15, 2013
Carl Douglas Fletcher, 68, passed away July 15, 2013 at IU Medical Center in Indianapolis after a brief illness.
He was born in Anderson on May 9, 1945 and lived in Anderson his whole life.
Carl was a graduate of Anderson High School Class of 1963 and General Motors Institute, Class of 1968. Carl obtained his MBA from Ball State University.
He retired from General Motors/Delphi after 40 + years and was currently employed by Rolls Royce of Indianapolis.
He was a member of St. Matthews United Methodist Church in Anderson.
Carl enjoyed traveling, golfing, following the stock market, watching the Indianapolis Colts, and most of all spending time with his family. He was a devoted husband and father, a master storyteller, and enthusiastic believer in the power of positive thinking
He is survived by his wife of 44 years, Jaci (Flore) Fletcher; children, Jill (Dean) Remington of Owensville; Laura Fletcher of Noblesville; Tyler Fletcher of Indianapolis; his mother, Dorothy (Huffman) Fletcher of Cicero; his father and mother-in-law, Bob and Norma Flore of Grand Blanc, MI; brother-in-law, Mike (Jillian) Flore and nephew, Rob(Danielle) Flore.
He was preceded in death by his father, Ronald Fletcher and his brother, Larry Fletcher.
Service will be on Friday, July 19 at 10:00 A.M. at Rozelle-Johnson Funeral Service. Burial will be in East Maplewood Cemetery.
Visitation will be Thursday from 2 P.M. until 8 P.M. at the funeral home
Memorial contributions may be given to American Cancer Society or Leukemia/Lymphoma Society.
