Obituary

John Henry Ezell Jr., 89, died peacefully at his home in Medford on Sunday, July 14.

Born in Chatom, Alabama, he was the son of the late John and Lula (Thompson) Ezell. John enlisted in the U.S. Navy and saw action in the Pacific Theater during World War II. Following the war he married and settled in Medford, where he worked as an automotive mechanic.

He was the beloved husband of the late Bertha (Nalbandian) Ezell and devoted father of Sharon Ezell Turco of Medford, Sheryle Burditt and her husband Paul of Stoneham. John was also the loving grandfather of Keith, Wesley, Christopher, Jessica, Adam, and six great grandchildren. He was the brother of the late James Otis Ezell, and leaves many nieces and nephews.

A funeral will be held from the Dello Russo Funeral Home, 306 Main St., MEDFORD on Thursday at 9 AM for a service at Wesley United Methodist Church, 100 Winthrop Street, MEDFORD at 10 AM. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend.

Visiting hours will be held Wednesday 4 through 8 pm. Services will conclude with burial at Oak Grove Cemetery, Medford. In lieu of flowers contributions in John's name may be made to Wounded Warrior Project, 4899 Belfort Road, Suite 300, Jacksonville, FL 32256.
