Stephen S. Hart, 73, of Tiverton died Friday, July 12, 2013 at Charlton Memorial Hospital. He was the husband of Beryl D. (Riley) Hart.
Born in Fall River, he was son of the late Harry H. and Dorothy (Crandall) Hart. Mr. Hart worked at Congdon and Carpenter Steel Supply Warehouse for 34 years, retiring as Operations Manager in 1989. He then became a self-employed courier for the next 20 years. He was the past president of the local NASCAR Club.
In addition to his wife, survivors include 3 sons: Christopher D. Hart and his wife Lori of Tiverton, Douglas S. Hart and his wife Mary of Odessa, FL and Jonathan C. Hart of Tiverton; a daughter: Deborah L. Plant and her husband Ralph of Tiverton; 2 brothers: Dana C. Hart of Tiverton and Alan W. Hart of Acton, MA; 5 grandchildren: Stephen C. Plant, Katie L. Hart, Gabriel R. Hart, Samantha H. Plant and Heather R. Hart. Nieces and nephews include Gregory A. Mason, Victoria B. Mason, Bronwen D. (Hart) Faubert and the late David A. Hart.
He was brother of the late Constance D. (Hart) Mason.
Memorial service to which relatives and friends are invited will be Sunday, July 28, 2013 at the Potter Funeral Home at 1:00 P.M.
