Obituary

CHICOPEE – Adrian M. “Skip” Ringenbach, 71, of the Aldenville section of Chicopee was Called Safely Home on Saturday, July 13, 2013. He passed into Eternal Life at his home surrounded by the care and comfort of his loving family and his wonderful caregivers from Mercy Hospice. He was born in Holyoke on February 3, 1942, a beloved son of the late Adrien E. and Jeanne M. (Bienvenue) Ringenbach. He was raised in Chicopee, graduated in 1961 from Chicopee High School and lived in the Aldenville section of the city for most of his life. He was employed for 36 years at the former US Envelope Company in Springfield which later became the Mead Wesvaco Company, before retiring in 2003. During his leisure time, Skip was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed fishing, hunting and boating. Active in his faith, he was a communicant of Sainte Rose de Lima Church in Chicopee. Skip was a quiet man who adored his family and showered them with his love and affection which was returned to him a thousand fold. He leaves his beloved wife and best friend, Judith A. “Judi” (Riley) Ringenbach. They were married on September 29, 1962 at Saint Patrick Church in Chicopee Falls and were blessed with over 50 years of happiness together. He also leaves his loving children, Cynthia A. “Cindy” Cote and her husband, Scott, of Webster, and Wayne A. Ringenbach of Huntington; his two cherished grandsons, Matthew Ringenbach of Springfield and Jay Ringenbach of Huntington; his two cherished great-granddaughters, Arianna and Rylie Ringenbach; his dear brother, Roger L. Ringenbach and his wife, Eileen, of Westfield; his dear sister, Sheila M. Szafranski of Chicopee; his dear brother-in-law, Robert Beaulieu of Ludlow; his dear brothers-in-law of the Riley family, Michael F. Riley and his wife, Marla, of Oregon, Richard J. Riley and his wife, Cathy, of Westfield, and Joseph P. Riley and his wife, Janet, of Sturbridge; his dear sisters-in-law of the Riley family, Mary Ellen Riley and her husband, Michael Henegar, of Oregon and Catherine Laflamme and her husband, Michael, of Chicopee; and his many dear nephews, nieces, grandnephews and grandnieces. Besides his parents, Skip was predeceased by his dear sisters, Marcella Beaulieu and Jeanne “Tina” Reilly. His funeral will be held on Friday morning, July 19, 2013 beginning at the St. Pierre – Phaneuf Aldenville Chapels, (413-532-9806), 13 Dale Street, Chicopee, MA 01020, (funeral home will open at 9 a.m.), followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 a.m. in Sainte Rose de Lima Church, 600 Grattan Street, Chicopee, MA 01020. His burial will be private at a later date for his family. His family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday, July 18, 2013 from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. The parking lot and main entrance are located in the rear of the funeral home at 20 Lafayette Street, Chicopee, MA 01020. His family has requested that memorial donations be made in his memory to Mercy Hospice, 2112 Riverdale Street, Suite 3, West Springfield, MA 01089.
