WEBSTER - Elizabeth G. (Murzynowicz) Romanek, 88, died Saturday, July 13, 2013 in Southbridge Rehab & Healthcare Center after an illness. Her husband of 31 years, Alexander Romanek, died in 1977.
She leaves a daughter, Sandi (Andrzejewski) Andrews of Sturbridge; 2 grandchildren, Laurie (Andrzejewski) Casavant and Robert Andrzejewski and his wife Kristina; 2 great-grandchildren, Ethan and Sophie Andrzejewski; a sister, Eleanor Noga of Webster; a niece, Sheri Bergeron and her husband Rudy of Webster; her great-niece, Megan Belanger and her husband Jon; and her great-nephew, Matthew Bergeron.
She was born in Webster, a daughter of Alexander and Lucy (Ksiazkiewicz) Murzynowicz and lived here all her life.
She was a stitcher at Ethan Allen Company in Dudley for over 30 years before she retired.
She was a member of Saint Joseph Basilica, its Sacred Heart Society and the St. Joseph Polish Women’s Club.
The funeral will be held Tuesday, July 16, from the Sitkowski & Malboeuf Funeral Home, 340 School Street, with a Mass at 11:00 AM in Saint Joseph Basilica, 53 Whitcomb Street. Burial will be in Saint Joseph Garden of Peace. A calling period will be from 9:15 to 10:15 AM Tuesday, July 16, in the funeral home. Donations in her name may be made to the Susan B.
