Sandra “Gayle” Watson Faaborg, 53, of Tifton died Saturday, July 13, 2013, at Tift Regional Medical Center. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, July 17, 2013, in the Chapel of Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals. Rev. Dan Eidson will officiate with a private family burial to be held at a later time in Tift Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, July 16, 2013, from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. at Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals.
Mrs. Faaborg was born on January 19, 1960 on Davis Island in Tampa, Florida and was the daughter of Louis Watson, Jr. and Barbara Watson of Tifton. She had lived almost all her life in Tifton. Gayle was a beloved wife and mother, dedicated to her family and known for her love of animals. She will be greatly missed by everyone in her family and has left behind many friends. In addition to her love of family and her pets, she enjoyed motorcycle riding, shopping, dining out and spending time at home. Although she had held many public jobs in the past, she most enjoyed her role as housewife and mother.
In addition to her parents, Mrs. Faaborg is survived by her husband of 24 years, Charles N. “Chuck” Faaborg of Tifton; one daughter and son-in-law, Crystal Gayle and Lee Roberts of Tifton; two sons and one daughter-in-law, William Lee and Dawn Hill of Ocilla and Nicholas Ryan Faaborg of Tifton; one sister and brother-in-law, Connie and Charles Ledlow of Tifton; three brothers, William Watson and partner, Susan Griffin, Jet Watson and Waymon Watson, all of Tifton; and eight grandchildren, Jacob Connor Roberts, Hunter Austin Roberts and Chloe Leigh Roberts, all of Tifton and William Cole Carmichael, Lacey Michelle Hill, Brooklyn Cheyenne Pitts, Abigail Hill and Kelsey Hill, all of Ocilla.
