Maurice G. Tondreau, 69, of Ironmine Rd. Harrisville, died Friday at home. He was the husband of Jacqueline (Sylvestre) Tondreau. Born in Woonsocket, he was a son of the late Albert and Irene (Lessard) Tondreau. Moe was a mail carrier for the US Postal Service for thirty eight years through the Woonsocket and Providence Post Offices. He was an avid fisherman and always enjoyed life.
Besides his wife, he leaves a son, Michael G. Tondreau and his wife Natascha Z. of Harrisville, and a daughter, Michelle L. White and her husband Thomas s. of Pawtucket, four brothers Robert Tondreau of FL, Paul Tondreau of NH, Emile Tondreau of MD, and Gerard Tondreau of UT, two sisters, Pauline Demers of Cumberland, and Claire Brodeur of Woonsocket, and three grandchildren, Jessica, Jamie and Evan, and many nieces and nephews. He was also the brother of the late Helen Peckham and Jean Tondreau.
His funeral will be held Tuesday at 9:30 AM from the Fournier & Fournier Funeral Home, 99 Cumberland St. Woonsocket, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 AM in St. Theresa’s Church in Nasonville. Burial will follow in St. Theresa’s Parish Cemetery. Visiting hours are Monday 4-7 PM.
