Obituary

WAYLAND: Ruth M. (Bellafatto) Fisher, 85, died peacefully surrounded by her family on Wednesday, July 10, 2013 following a brief illness.
She was born in Natick on July 7, 1928 the daughter of the late Joseph Bellafatto and Marion (Gibson) Bellafatto.
She was the beloved wife of the late Richard J. Fisher who died in August of 2008 and mother of the late Janet L. Fisher who died in August of 1973.
Ruth is survived by her loving children Richard A. Fisher and his wife Marie of Medway, Sharon M. Green and her husband Hans of Holliston, Jayne R. Sweeney of Framingham, Wayne K. Fisher of Natick and Glenn T. Fisher. Cherished Grandmother of Dori Corbett, Janet Sweeney, Scott Sweeney and David Fisher. Great-Grandmother of Joseph and Abigail. Sister of Alfred Bellafatto and his wife Ginny of Kingston. Also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Ruth spent her formative years in Natick and was educated through the Natick school system. She has been a resident of Wayland for over 55 years. For several years she was associated with Haemonetics in Natick before retiring. She enjoyed spending time in her flower gardens and, along with her husband, raising vegetables at their residence. She and her husband Richard enjoyed ballroom dancing. She was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother and delighted in the time she spent with them at the family pool.
Visitations will be held on Tuesday, July 16, 2013 from 4:00 to 7:00 pm at the John C. Bryant Funeral Home, 56 Pemberton Road (Off Rte 30), Wayland.
Her funeral services will be held on Wednesday, July 17, 2013 at 11:00 am at the funeral home followed by interment in the Fisher family lot in Lakeview Cemetery.
