Obituary

SPENCER: Lorraine M. (Gagne) Radzinski, 89, of Howe Village formerly of South Spencer Road died Wednesday, July 10 in the Life Care Center of Auburn after an illness.

Her husband Benjamin J. Radzinski died in 1999, her first husband John M. Johnson died in 1976. She leaves a son John F. Johnson and his wife Nina of Bedford, TX, a daughter Martha E. Shurtz of Flint, MI, a step-daughter Carol Shemeth of Spencer, a sister Lucille Wloch of Spencer, 4 grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren and several step-grandchildren and great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. She was pre-deceased by two brothers Earl and Arthur Gagne.

Lorraine was born in Worcester, daughter of Arthur and Lucinda (Bourgeois) Gagne. She was a machine operator at Dienes Corp.(formerly Novelty Tool) in Spencer before retiring in 1985. She was a member of Our Lady of the Rosary Parish. She was active with the Golden Age Club and the South Spencer Community Club. She was a past President of the Gaudette-Kirk Post 138 American Legion Ladies Auxilary.

The funeral will be held Monday, July 15 from J. HENRI MORIN & SON FUNERAL HOME, 23 Maple Terr., Spencer with a Mass at 11:00 AM in Our Lady of the Rosary Church, 7 Church St., Spencer. Burial will follow in Mary, Queen of the Rosary Cemetery, Spencer. A calling hour will precede the funeral on Monday from 9:45-10:45 AM in the funeral home. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to Spencer Rescue Squad, P.O. Box 147, Spencer, MA 01562 or to the Mary, Queen of the Rosary Food Pantry, 60 Maple Street, Spencer, MA 01562.
