Harry R. Everett Sr., 74, of Litchfield, NH, died peacefully on Wednesday, July, 10, 2013, of cancer at the Community Hospice House in Merrimack surrounded by his loving family. He was born on May 28, 1939 in New Hope, PA. He was the youngest of eleven children to the late Walter and Thelma (Lear) Everett. He attended New Hope-Solebury High School before serving in the U.S. Navy as an Airman and Plane Captain on P-2V Neptunes. He retired as Foreman of Toll Equipment for the Massachusetts Turnpike Authority.
Harry was an avid sportsman who loved to hunt and fish. He also enjoyed shooting darts, playing on many dart leagues in the greater Nashua area. He was a member of the VFW Hudson Memorial Post 5791 Men's Auxiliary, Club National, and Lafayette Club. Members of his family include his beloved wife of 28 years Janet (Wiencek) Everett, of Litchfield, NH. Three sons, Harry Everett Jr. and his wife Robin, of Hudson, NH; Kenneth Everett and his partner Patrick Miller, of San Francisco, CA; and Robert Everett, of Hudson, NH. Four Daughters, Kimberly Tourigny and her husband Raymond of Nashua, NH; Joyce Everett and her partner Kathryn Danz of Santa Rosa, CA; Corinna Trauger, of Summerville, SC; and Valerie Labbe and her husband Donald of Londonderry, NH. Three sisters Norma Case and her husband Bart of Lambertville, NJ; Thelma Kintzel of Rosemont, NJ; Betty Connery and her husband Roland of Summerton, SC. Eleven grandchildren, two great-grandchildren and many, many nieces, nephews, and friends. He was predeceased by a son Francis Everett.
Calling hours were held on Sunday, July 14th from 1 – 5pm in the Peabody Funeral Homes and Crematorium, 290 Mammoth Rd., Londonderry. A Liturgy of Christian Burial was celebrated on Monday at 10:00am in St. Francis of Assisi Parish, 9 St. Francis Way, Litchfield. The burial followed in Pine Grove Cemetery, Calef Rd., Manchester, NH.
