Beatrice M. (MacInnis) Kennedy, 91, passed away Tuesday, July 9, 2013 at Beverly Hospital following a brief illness. Bea was the loving wife of the late Thomas F. Kennedy, Sr., whom she married on Oct. 30, 1945.
Born in Cambridge on Dec. 21, 1921, she was the daughter of the late Chester and Harriet MacInnis. Bea was a resident of Danvers for the past 57 years. She graduated from Lynn English High School, Class of 1939.
Bea worked at General Electric in Lynn and after her marriage raised four children. She was a longtime member of the Needlecraft Guild.
Surviving her are two sons, Donald and his wife Jacqueline of Danvers and Kevin and his wife Mary of New York, a daughter, Patricia of Danvers, three grandson, Brendan and Daniel of New Hampshire, and Conor of California, three great grandsons, Joshua, Jeremy, and Elijah, all of New Hampshire, a brother, Rayburn MacInnis of Lynn, a sister, Virginia Dressler of Pennsylvania, and several nieces and nephews. She was the mother of the late Thomas F. Kennedy, Jr.
Her Funeral Service will be Friday, July 12, 2013 at 11AM in C.R. Lyons & Sons, Funeral Directors, 28 Elm St., Danvers Square. Burial will follow in St. Mary Cemetery, Lynn. Relatives and friends are invited. Visiting hours are Thursday from 6-8PM in the funeral home.
