Salvatore T. Agostino died Tuesday at his Medford home. He was 78.
Born and raised in Arlington, he was the son of the late Salvatore and the late Nancy (Lancelotte) Agostino. After graduaring Arlington High, he enlisted in the US Navy and served two years in World War II. Salvatore worked as a chef in many well known Boston area restaraunts throughout his career.He was also a member of the Epicurian Club of Boston.
He is survived by his wife Sally (McDonnell) and two daughters: Margaret Agostino of New York City and Robyn Agostino of Somerville. He also leaves one brother: Francis Agostino of Arlington and is predeceased by a sister, Rose Manganelli. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
A Funeral Mass will be offered Saturday at 9 AM in the Immaculate Conception Church, 600 Pleasant Street, Malden. Interment will follow at Oak Grove Cemetery, Medford. Relatives and friends may visit Friday from 4 thru 7 at the Dello Russo Funeral Home, 306 Main St., Medford.
