John J. Hourihan, 66, of Medway died Monday, July 8, 2013 at his home. He was the beloved husband of Karen L. (Renzulli) Hourihan since 1985.
Born in Charlestown on March 21, 1947, he was the son of the late William and Mary (Connors) Hourihan.
Mr. Hourihan was a resident of Medway for the past 27 years and proudly served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War.
Before his retirement, Mr. Hourihan worked for the US Postal Service in the Back Bay section of Boston for many years.
Mr. Hourihan enjoyed trips to the casinos, especially Mohegan Sun.
Besides his wife, he is survived by a brother Daniel Hourihan of Walpole and a sister Marie Bimmler of Assonet.
He was the brother of the late William Hourihan and Helen Wayland
Relatives and friends are invited to attend calling hours on Friday, July 12 from 9:30 - 10:30 a.m. in the Ginley Crowley Funeral Home, 3 Barber St. in Medway (www.ginleyfuneralhomes.com) followed by a funeral Mass at St. Joseph’s Church, 151 Village St. in Medway at 11 a.m.
Burial will follow at St. Joseph’s Cemetery.
