Brenda L. (Jakola) Gagliardi, of Stoneham, formerly of Medford, died Monday morning after a long courageous battle with breast cancer. She was 62. Born and raised in Fitchburg, Brenda lived in Medford for many years before recently settling in Stoneham. She was a devoted wife, mother, step mother and grandmother who enjoyed the company of her family and friends.
The beloved wife of John P. Gagliardi, she was a devoted mother to Brenda and Daniella of Stoneham and a devoted step-mother to Joan “Babe” Limone and her husband Paul, Gennaro “Jake” all of Medford, Jamie of WA and the late John Jr., and Joseph. She was a loving Nonna to Peter, Joseph, Paul David, Jenna, Nicole and Baby Johnny. The dear step-daugher of Settimea DelMonico, she was the daugher of the late Ralph DelMonico, Doris Jakola and stepdaughter of the late John Jakola. She was the sister of Susan Perry, Ricky and Greg DelMonico. The loving niece of Gloria and Richard Stone of Fitchburg, Anna Novagroski of Cincinatti, she was the dear sister-in-law of Sam and Lucille, Phil and Lil, Frank and Jackie, Marie and the late Carmen Gagliardi and is also survived by her special nephew Phil Gagliardi.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to visit at St. Clement Church, 71 Warner Street, Medford, Friday, July 12th from 9:30 AM followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 AM. Services will conclude with burial at Oak Grove Cemetery.
