Fannie M. (Hawkins) Edelen, 80, passed away Friday, July 5, 2013 at Hosparus downtown. Born in Holy Cross, Ky., she was a homemaker and member of Incarnation Catholic Church. She is preceded in death by her husband, Ivo Edelen; parents, Joseph and Beatrice Hawkins; brothers and sisters, Nancy Brady, Patty Higdon, JD Hawkins, Tommy Moore, Tony Moore and Sonny Hawkins. Survivors include one son, William “Bill” Edelen (Cathy); two daughters, Sandy Bishop (Stanley) and Theresa Martin (William); One sister, Elizabeth Brady; four grandchildren, Eric Bishop, Brad Bishop, Alex Bishop (Marci), Miranda Martin and two step grandchildren Michelle and Rob Cundiff, Michael and Jackie Hieatt; One great-grandson, Parker Bishop; great-step grandchildren, Shelby, Molly and Chole Cundiff and Sarai Rhodes. Her funeral mass will be 10 am Tuesday at her church 2229 Lower Hunters Trace, with burial at St. Joseph Cemetery in Bardstown. Visitation 12pm to 8pm, Monday at Owen Funeral Home, 5317 Dixie Hwy.
