Obituary

John G. (Jack) Rueppel, 87, died after a short illness on July 7, 2013 at Southern New Hampshire Medical Center in Nashua, N.H.
Jack was born in the Bronx, N.Y. on April 29, 1926, the son of Catherine A. (Concannon) Rueppel and George A. Rueppel. He attended St. Margaret’s elementary school in Riverdale, N.Y., Cardinal Hayes High School and Pratt Institute of Engineering in the Bronx, N.Y.
He served in the Navy during W.W.II from 1943 to 1945.
Jack was a sales representative for Butler Manufacturing, Kansas City, Mo. He won the coveted Cup Club award the first year. He moved to Atlanta, Ga. to take the position of Vice-President with the Filon Corporation. His next venture was a move to Cleveland, Ohio employed by the Johns-Manville Corporation, Denver, Colorado. He was than moved to New Hampshire as the Sales Manager for the Melamite Corporation, Lawrence, Mass. Melamite was sold and he decided to continue his career with J.M. and was moved to Kansas City, Mo. He retired from J.M. in 1986 and returned to New Hampshire. He was self employed as a Manufacturer’s Representative from 1986 to 2011. He started working at the age of 12 in N.Y. and retired at the age 85. He was very proud of his Irish Heritage was active in the Ancient Order of Hibernians. He volunteered on a committee for the Kansas City Saint Patrick’s Day Parade and that committee walked in the parade in ugly green tuxedos. He was also, involved in politics while living in Kansas City, he was the fiscal agent for the District Attorney. During the 70’s he was a member of the Nashua Lions and his specialty was the pancake breakfasts. He volunteered on many political campaigns after resettling in N.H. in 1986.
Family members included his wife of 53 years Patricia Ann Rabassi- Rueppel of Hooksett: son, Scott A. Rueppel of Norfolk, Virginia; two sisters, Dorothy Berry and Carol Rueppel of Amsterdam, N.Y. ; brother, Robert Rueppel and his wife Janice of Voorhees, N.J.; Several nieces and nephews.

A Mass of Christian burial was celebrated on Saturday, July 13, 2013 in Ste. Marie Church, Notre Dame Ave.
