Ruth M. (Ferguson) Danforth Snow, 91, of Worcester died Sunday, July 7th at home surrounded by her family. Her husband of 31 years, Warren B. Snow, Sr. died in 2011. She leaves two daughters, Diane R. Chase of Worcester and Margaret M. Dukes of Mashpee; four step-sons, Warren B. Snow Jr. and his wife Sandra, Gregory J. Snow and his wife, Debra all of Spencer, David A. Snow and his wife, Nancy of Auburn and James M. Snow and his wife, Justine of Worcester; six step-daughters, Rosemarie T. Sargent and her husband, David of Spencer, Tina M. Cristy and her husband, Gordon, Donna M. Godfrey and her husband, Robert all of Worcester, Joanne M. Snow of Rutland, Ann-Marie S. Tsetsos and her husband, James of Worcester, and Mary Jo Peterson of San Diego, CA; a brother, Arthur Ferguson; a sister, Evelyn Engel and her husband, Robert all of Florida. She also leaves her adored grandchildren and great grandchildren, much loved nieces and nephews, dear to her heart sister-in-laws and brother-in-laws and many treasured friends. She was predeceased by her son, Robert Danforth.
Mrs. Snow was born in Lynn the daughter of Arthur S. and Margaret M. (Mills) Ferguson. She was raised in Brooklyn, NY before residing in Worcester. Ruth was fortunate to have found love twice in her lifetime. She was married to her first husband, Bert E. Danforth in 1943 until his passing in 1979. Ruth was married to her second husband, Warren B. Snow in 1980 until his passing in 2011.
Ruth worked at the Hermitage Nursing Home for many years as a physical therapist. Even after retiring, Ruth continued to care for people in their homes. Ruth had room in her heart for everyone she met. She loved being with people, especially family. The more crowded the house was, the more joy Ruth felt. She was a member of Christ the King Church.

Her funeral is Friday, July 12th from O’CONNOR BROTHERS FUNERAL HOME, 592 Park Avenue with a Mass at 10:00 AM in Christ the King Church, 1052 Pleasant Street. Burial will follow in St. John’s Cemetery. Calling hours are Thursday, July 11th from 4:00 until 7:00 PM in the funeral home.
