Charlotte Winn Grasso, 85, of Fitzgerald, died July 4, 2013, at the Life Care Center.
Memorial services will be held at 2:30 PM, Friday, July 12, 2013, in the Chapel of Central United Methodist Church. A giving person in life, Mrs. Grasso made the decision to donate her body to medical research.
Mrs. Grasso was born July 3, 1928, in Glynn County, Georgia to the late Warren Leroy & Pauline “Polly” Paulk Winn. She was a 1945 graduate of Fitzgerald High School and attended Middle Georgia College in Cochran. She was a former librarian for Jacksonville University in Jacksonville, Florida. A long-time member of Central United Methodist Church, she formerly sang in the choir, was a member of the Golden Agers and started a bi-weekly exercise class for seniors.
She is survived by her son: Jack & Lindy Boyter of Ponte Vedra, FL; a granddaughter: Ansley Blakely of Jacksonville, FL; and a nephew: Steve Winn of San Diego, CA. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband: Frank Grasso.
