GOODMAN, Grover Lee, 87, of Louisville, passed away Saturday, July 6, 2013.
He retired from Bell South Telephone after 36 years. He was a member of First Cumberland Presbyterian Church, the American Legion Post #220, the Telephone Pioneers Family Campers, and was a Kentucky Colonel. He was a World War II Veteran, having served in the South Pacific with the Navy Seabees Battalion #117.
He enjoyed sports, particularly golf, bowling and snow-mobiling in Michigan. He was a loving husband and father, who was always helpful and considerate of everybody. He never lost his sense of humor.
Mr. Goodman was preceded in death by his grandson, Jansen Goodman.
He is survived by his wife of 65 years, Clara Marie (Becker) Goodman; children, Robert Lee Goodman (Nancy) and Barbara Anne Goodman; and granddaughter, Olivia Goodman.
His service will be 12 Noon Wednesday at Owen Funeral Home, 5317 Dixie Highway, with burial in Louisville Memorial Gardens, West. Visitation will be 2-8pm Tuesday and after 10am Wednesday at the funeral home.
