Josephine P. Ostrom, 84 years of age, of Norton , MA died peacefully in her sleep on Saturday, July 6, 2013 at home. She was the wife of the late Bertil Ostrom. She was born at home in Sharon , MA , daughter of the late Frank and Carmina (DeGirolomo) Vacca.
She is survived by one son, David Ostrom of Pepperell , MA , three daughters, Shirley Capone of Norton, Diana Galloway of Norton, and Carol Garon of Taunton . She also leaves behind six grandchildren, Andrew Ostrom of Dorchester, Amanda Correira of North Providence, Lauren Buckman of Easton , Michael Galloway of Easton , David Galloway of Norton, and Marissa Cotterell of Norton, and one great grandchild, Nova Cotterell of Norton.
Josie was educated in Sharon Schools . She loved spending time with her family and adored the time spent with her grandchildren.
She was a member of the Taunton Congregation of Jehovah’s Witnesses and made friends easily. She enjoyed reading and studying the bible, crocheting and she also loved to volunteer, spending time in the ministry helping others learn about God.
A Memorial service will be held on Friday, July 12th at 11:00 a.m. at the Mansfield Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses, 6 School Street , Mansfield , MA .
