New Bedford – Richard Harrington, age 44, passed away on Thursday, July 4, 2013 at his home in New Bedford after a courageous battle with cancer. Mr. Harrington was the loving husband of Allison (Manley) Harrington. He was born in Madison, Wisconsin, the son of Mary Ann (Hoffman) and the late David Harrington. He moved to this area in 2006 and worked as a Utility Worker at American Pride Seafood. He was a very hard worker and enjoyed playing golf.
His survivors include his wife, Allison of New Bedford; his mother, Mary Ann of Madison, Wisconsin; his son Dakota Manley of New Bedford; 4 sister in-laws: Cheryl Manley, Irene Manley, Tammy Domingos and Jean Bettencourt, all of New Bedford; a brother in-law: Donald Manley; 3 nephews: Timothy Manley, Robert Manley and Bradford Brown; 2 nieces: Kristine Manley and McKenzie Brown.
Mr. Harrington’s visiting hours will be Wednesday, July 10 from 5 – 8 P.M. at Perry Funeral Home, 111 Dartmouth St. in New Bedford. A Religious Service will be conducted during the visiting hours. Cremation will follow. Relatives and friends are invited.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the family and will be greatly appreciated.
