Cecile Meeks Whitley, age 75, of Douglas, GA passed away on Wednesday, July 3, 2013 at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Savannah, GA. Mrs. Whitley was born on June 6, 1938, in Nicholls, GA, to the late Cecil Earl Meeks and Minnie Lee Cannon Meeks.
Survivors include: her husband, Richard “Dick” Whitley of Douglas, GA, daughter, Donna Royal, of Ambrose, GA, granddaughter, Lauren Royal, of Ambrose, GA, two grandsons, Dillan Harper and Devin Harper, both of Douglas, GA, great grandson, Brayden Wayne Harper, of Douglas, GA, several nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by a daughter, Dana Harper and a sister, Pat Hinson.
Visitation will be held on Friday, July 5, 2013 from 6-9 pm.
Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, July 6, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. at the Chapel of Sims Funeral Home with Rev. Sam Vernon officiating.
