Frank E. Rudek, 84, of Chicopee, MA died peacefully with family by his side on July 1, 2013. A proud Polish native of Chicopee, he was born on Wintworth Street in 1928 to the late Michael and Mary (Kapinos) Rudek. He served his country in the United States Army, 346th Engineers, and later, for 29 years for the U.S. Postal Service. He greatly enjoyed traveling to Wells Beach, Maine in the summers and spending countless happy hours with his adoring family. He is survived by his wife, Marcelle Rudek, his son, Ronald Rudek and his wife Nancy (Cierpial), two daughters Laurie Bouffard and her husband Ronald and Christina Robarge and her husband Leslie, five grandchildren, Joseph Rudek and his wife Sarah, Capt Timothy Maughan of the USAF, Leeanne Orluk and her husband Nicholas, Nicole and Joshua Bouffard as well as his great grandson Jonathan Rudek. A Funeral Service will be held on Mon July 8, 2013 at 8:00 AM from the Grise Funeral Home 280 Springfield Street, Chicopee followed by a Memorial Mass in Sacred Heart Church in Springfield at 11:00 AM. Burial will follow with Military Honors at the MA Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Agawam. Visiting Hours will be held on the morning of the funeral Mon July 8, 2013 from 8:00 AM until 10:30 AM.
