SHIRLEY (MCGRATH) GOKEY, of Hull
It is with great sadness that the family of Shirley (McGrath) Gokey announce her passing on Saturday, June 29th, 2013 with her family by her side.
Shirley was the beloved loving mother of: David Gokey and Colleen Harding (Russell) of Hull, Kevin Gokey (Angie) of NC and Shawn Gokey (Kristen) of Hanover and her late children: Cheryl Driscoll and Brian Gokey. She was the proud grandmother of eight and adoring great grandmother of one with two more great grandchildren due later this year.
Shirley had a full and very busy life. She raised six children as well as working at Talbot's warehouse and Building 19's warehouse for numerous years in Hingham. Shirley was a master seamstress and she enjoyed traveling, bike riding the beach, gardening and volunteering in the past for many senior organizations.
Relatives and friends are welcome to visit at the Downing Cottage Funeral Chapel, 21 Pond St., Hingham on Friday from 5-7 PM.
The funeral service and interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, donations in Shirley's memory may be made to the South Shore Visiting Nurse Assoc. (SSVNA), 30 Reservoir Park Drive, Rockland, MA 02370.
