Cynthia Williamson, 53, of Ben Hill County, Georgia, died Sunday, June 30, 2013 at her residence.
Funeral services will be 2 PM, Wednesday, July 3, 2013, at Salem Baptist Church with the Rev. Steve O’Neal and the Rev. Brent Duncan officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 7-9 Tuesday evening at the funeral home in Fitzgerald.
Mrs. Williamson was born June 23, 1960 in Houston County, Georgia to Horton and Ruth Clifton Williamson. She moved to Ben Hill County in 1976. She obtained her GED and received a medical coding certificate from East Central Technical College. She furthered her studies at South Georgia Technical College in Cordele where she received her medical assistant and phlebotomist certificates. She was a former medical assistant for Crisp Regional Hospital. A loving daughter, sister, mother and grandmother, she was a caretaker to her parents and enjoyed listening to music, spending time with her family, friends and her dog Tavi. She was of the Baptist faith.
She is survived by two daughters: Wendy (Brandon) Young and Laken Sapp, all of Ben Hill County; two grandsons: Jake Young and Jarrett Young and another grandchild on the way; her parents: Horton & Ruth Williamson of Ben Hill County; a brother: Clifton (Letitia) Williamson of Fitzgerald; a sister: Connie (John) Woodard of Eastman as well as several nieces and nephews.
