Giuseppe Forte, 85 of Malden, formerly of Medford died Saturday after bravely battling cancer for almost 2 years.
Born in Palermo, Sicily, he was the son of the late Maria (Franchina) and Gaetano Forte. Giuseppe was a Cobbler for many years and the proprietor of Joe's Shoe Repair in Boston’s North End and retired in 1990.
Beloved husband of Maria (Sorbana) Forte. Devoted father of Gaetano Forte, Giovanni Forte, Claudio Forte and Maria McCallum. Also survived by 13 loving grandchildren, 20 loving great grandchildren and many friends. He will always be loved and remember.
Funeral from the Dello Russo Funeral Home, 306 Main St., MEDFORD Wednesday at 8 AM followed by a funeral mass celebrated in St. Joseph Church, 770 Salem St., Malden, at 9 AM. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours Tuesday 4-8.
Services will conclude with burial at Woodlawn Cemetery, Everett.
