Mary Ann Williams, 63, of Fitzgerald, Georgia, died Friday, June 28, 2013, at Emory University Hospital in Atlanta, Georgia.
Funeral services will be held 2 P.M., Monday, July 1, 2013, at Christian Fellowship with the Rev. Rex Johnson and the Rev. Harris Johnson officiating. Interment will follow in the Evergreen Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 7-9 Sunday evening at the funeral home.
Mrs. Williams was born May 27, 1950, in Ben Hill County, Georgia, to Archie Watson and the late Velma Young Watson. She was a 1967 graduate of Fitzgerald High School. She was a ward clerk at Irwin County Hospital and a former substitute teacher for Ben Hill Elementary School. She was a member of Christian Fellowship Inc. She was a devoted Christian and homemaker, and a loving wife, mother, and grandmother.
She is survived by her husband of 43 years, James H. Williams of Fitzgerald; sons: David (Angie) Williams of Waverly, Ted (Bridget) Williams of Fitzgerald, and Brad (Kristen Yokeley) Williams of Locust Grove; step-daughters: Kim Smith of Tifton and Susan Colson of Valdosta; father: Archie Watson of Fitzgerald; grandchildren: Desiree McCormick, Brittany Williams, Brent Smith, Austin Williams, Dillan Williams, and her grand-dog, Tank; and her brothers: David (Shirley) Watson of Fitzgerald, Michael (Latrelle) Watson of Corpus Christi, Texas, and Mark Watson of Leesburg; as well as her caregiver: Regina Green. Along with her mother, she was preceded in death by her brother: Billy Watson.
