Paul R. Gorman, age 56, of Brockton, died unexpectedly, Friday June 28, 2013, at Signature Healthcare-Brockton Hospital. Paul was the husband of Catherine A. (Lebherz) Gorman. Lifelong of Brockton, he was the son of Margaret M. (Bulman) Gorman of Brockton and the late John J. Gorman. Paul was a graduate of Brockton High School, class of 1974 and received his Associates Degree in Business from Massasoit Community College. He had been employed as a skilled Silk Screenist; worked at Reebok for 21 years, and was employed by the City of Brockton for the past 16 years, currently as a Foreman in the Department of Public Works. Paul was a member of D.W. Field Golf Course for over 30 years, the Polish White Eagles for over 30 years, and Club National. He enjoyed time with his wife, son and mother, golf, his annual golf trip to Florida with friends, cards, traveling to Foxwoods with his friend Sly, and was an avid sports fan.
In addition to his wife and mother he is survived by a son Derek Gorman of Brockton, three brothers John and his wife Connie of Phoenix, AZ, Thomas and his wife Janet of Dedham and Plymouth, and Eddie and his wife Linda of Baltimore, MD. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Visiting Hours will be held in the Conley Funeral Home, 138 Belmont Street (Rte 123) Brockton Tuesday 3-7pm. The funeral procession will gather at the funeral home Wednesday at 9:30am for a Funeral Mass in Our Lady of Lourdes Church at 10:30am. In lieu of flowers, donations in Paul’s name may be made to the American Diabetes Association, 10 Speen St., 2nd Floor, Framingham, MA 01701.
