In Raynham, June 28, 2013, Ellen E. “Nell” Hickerson age 81, passed away in the Life Care Center of Raynham following a brief period of failing health, while surrounded by her loving family. Nell was the wife of Jeffrey D. Hickerson of East Taunton. She was born in Jerseyside, Newfoundland, Canada, the daughter of the late Thomas & Sarah (Miller) Mulrooney. Nell has resided in East Taunton since 1991. She was a communicant of Holy Family Church in East Taunton. Nell enjoyed reading, knitting, long drives and sightseeing. Nell was a simple woman who was devoted in her faith and cherished her time with family. She leaves her children Andrew Mulrooney and his wife Huguette of Quebec City, Canada. Thomas Mulrooney of Taunton, Carl Mulrooney of Taunton, her son in law Frank Patrizi and late daughter Linda. Nell also leaves her grandchildren Kelly & Frank Jr. Patrizi, Yannis Rivard Mulrooney, Jillian and Derek Mulrooney. Her siblings Alice, Rose, Catherine, Desmond and the late Margaret, Marie, Edward and Acquinas. Funeral from the O’Keefe-Wade Funeral Home, 70 Washington St., Taunton, MA 02780 on Tuesday, July 2nd at 9:30 am. Followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in Holy Family Church in East Taunton at 11 am. Relatives and friends are invited to visiting hours on Monday from 5-8 pm. Burial will be private in Bourne National Cemetery.
