James “Jamie” Larry Winter, Jr., 38, of Chula died Thursday, June 27, 2013, at his residence. Funeral services will be held at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday, July 2, 2013, in the Chapel of Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals. Rev. Terrell Roberts will officiate with burial to follow in Oak Ridge Cemetery. Charley Clark, Charles Parrish, Chad Tyson, Chuck Perrin, Jay Perrin and Jack Goforth will serve as pallbearers. The family will receive friends on Monday, July 1, 2013, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals.
Mr. Winter was born on June 23, 1975 in Ben Hill County and was the son of Larry Winter and Betty J. Morris Winter, both of Chula. He was a security guard at Agri-Supply in Tifton and had also worked at Oak Forest Supply Company for 20 years.
In addition to his parents, Mr. Winter is survived by two sons, Josh Winter and Brady Winter, both of Chula; one daughter, Perrin Winter of Chula; one brother and sister-in-law, Chris and Sandy Hudgins of Tifton; two sisters and one brother-in-law, Susan and Frank Griffin of Tifton and Cathy Libby of Villa Rica; and his nieces and nephews, Kyle Hudgins, Amy Hudgins, Brandy McClellan, Del Griffin, Gavin Griffin, Candice Griffin and Courtney Griffin.
