Colleen Maureen O'Neill, passed on June 26th at home surrounded by her loving family after a long difficult battle with cancer.
Born in Santa Monica she has lived in Ventura since 1984 graduating from Ventura High School in 1990 and attaining a bachelors degree from Ventura College. Colleen was an Artist who enjoyed drawing, sketching Disney characters, collecting sea shells and stamps, watching the waves at the beach, drives and hikes through Ojai. She enjoyed listening to the music of Madonna, Janet Jackson, Metallica and many more.
Colleen lived with schizophrenia-assertive-disorder from her late teen years through her entire adult life. Colleen did her best to meet and cope with life's challenges while living with schizophrenia and eventually cancer.
She leaves her beloved parents Robert and Carol O'Neill and one beloved sister Patricia; numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins from across the USA; and the plenty of friends she has made over the years.
Friends and family are invited to visiting hours Monday July 1, 2013 from 4 to 8pm in Joseph P. Reardon Funeral Home 757 E. Main Street Ventura with a prayer service at 7PM. Funeral Services will be Tuesday July 2, 2013 at 10AM in the funeral home followed by interment in Ivy Lawn Memorial Park Ventura.
