Obituary

Richard N. Lemelin, 81, of Salem, NH, died peacefully, surrounded by his family, Wednesday at the Holy Family Hospital, Methuen, MA.

He was born and educated in Lawrence, MA and graduated from Central Catholic High School, Class of 1951. Richard served in the US Navy during the Korean War.

Richard worked as a foreman for Sealtest in Framingham, MA. After his retirement, he worked for Reliable Security for numerous businesses. Richard enjoyed playing softball, fishing, crossword puzzles, and he was an avid sports fan. He was also a friend of Bill W. He was the son of Victor and Victoria Lemelin. Richard was predeceased by his sister, Fernand Prevost.

He is survived by his sons, Richard P. Lemelin of Salem, NH,
Dennis Lemelin and his wife MiChong of Sacremento, CA and
David Lemelin of Louden, NH
and his daughters, Debra Lemelin McKinnon of Salem, NH and
Lynne and her husband John Vanasse of Derry, NH,
7 grandchildren, Danielle, Amy, Nicole, Jeffrey, Brian, Kelly and Victoria, 5 Great Grandchildren,
his cousin and longtime friends, Lionel and Breeda Lemelin of Methuen, MA,
and many nieces and nephews.

Calling hours will be Sunday, June 30th from 3:00 – 7:00 PM at Douglas & Johnson Funeral Home, 214 Main St., Salem, NH. The Funeral Service will be Monday at 10:30 AM at the Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Pine Grove Cemetery, Salem.
