Anastasia E. (Gioiosa) George, 87, of New Bedford died June 27, 2013 at Hathaway Manor Extended Care Facility.
She was the wife of the late Padadli George.
Born in New Bedford, the daughter of the late Joseph and Louise (Coucci) Gioiosa, she lived in New Bedford all of her life.
She was a communicant of St. Francis of Assisi Church.
She was formerly employed by Aerovox for over 45 years until her retirement.
Survivors include her daughter, Janice Green and her husband Arthur; a sister, Rita Peitavino; 3 grandchildren, Jason Green and his wife Susan, Nathan Green and Jonathan Green; 3 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
She was the sister of the late Dominic Gioiosa, Anthony Gioiosa and Joseph Gioiosa.
Her Graveside Service will be held on Monday, July 1st at 1 PM in Pine Grove Cemetery.
