Obituary

In West Bridgewater, June 25, 2013 Dr. E. Joseph LaLiberte, age 90, passed away in the Life Care Center of West Bridgewater while surrounded by his loving family. Joseph was the husband of the late Marjorie (Lehan) LaLiberte. He was born in Brockton, the son of the late Emery J. LaLiberte Sr. and Mary Hendrick. Joseph graduated from Thayer Academy in Braintree and his bachelors and doctorate degrees from Boston College. He served his country during WWII in the Coast Guard. Joseph resided most of his life in Raynham, where he raised his family. He was a lifelong educator and superintendant of Raynham Public schools. The director of P.C.C. Project Contemporary Competiveness. He enjoyed fishing, coin collecting, writing and above all was a devoted father and grandfather who cherished his time with family. Joseph leaves his children Robert LaLiberte and his wife Therese Wright of West Barnstable, Nancy Many and her husband Christopher of Taunton, Jean Gilrein and her husband James of Raynham, Joanne Havens and husband Andrew of Fort Wayne, Indiana, David LaLiberte and his wife Beth Manning LaLiberte of Needham and Patricia Symes and husband Michael of Wenham, MA. He leaves his fourteen grand children and six great grand children. His siblings Alice Bruce of Brockton and Lorraine MacLennan of Annapolis, Maryland. Funeral from the O’Keefe-Wade Funeral Home, 70 Washington St., Taunton, MA 02780 on Monday, July 1st at 9:30 am. Followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Ann’s Church in Raynham at 11 am. Relatives and friends are invited to visiting hours on Sunday from 3-6 pm. Burial will be in Bourne National Cemetery. Donations in Joseph’s memory may be made to the Dr. E.
