TAUNTON – Edward Travers, II of Raynham, formerly of East Taunton, died at his home on June 25, 2013. He was 61.
Born in Taunton, he was son of the late Edward, Sr. and Mary (Dukacz) Travers.
He graduated from Bridgewater-Raynham High School in 1970.
For many years Ed owned and operated East Taunton Video. He was an enthusiastic Boston sports fan and avid collector of sports and pop icon memorabilia. He also enjoyed his vintage car collection.
For twenty years, he was a coach in East Taunton Little League.
He leaves a son, Edward Travers,III and his wife Erin of East Taunton; daughter, Marie Williams of N. Dighton and Bobbi Jo Silva of Anderson, IN; a wife, Deborah Travers of East Taunton; two sisters, Nancy Claiborne of Taunton and Jayne Champagne of Raynham; also survived by several grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
His funeral will be held from the Silva Funeral Home, 80 Broadway, Taunton on Tuesday July 2nd at 9a.m. followed by a mass at Holy Rosary Church at 10 a.m. Burial will be at St. Joseph Cemetery. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. Calling Hours will be held at the funeral home on Monday July 1st from 5 to 8 p.m.
