Obituary

James D. “Jim” Eldredge, 53, of Abington, died Monday June 24th surrounded by his loving family in the South Shore Hospital, after a long illness.

He was born in Brockton, son of Leocadia (Smith) Eldredge and the late Kenneth Eldredge.

Jim has been a lifelong resident of Abington, a graduate of Abington High School, class of 1977 and he attended Massasoit Community College.

He worked as a screen printer for the WearGuard Company in Norwell for many years .Jim was an excellent craftsman, who loved working with his hands. He also built and rode bicycles, enjoyed golf and was an avid cycling fan.

In addition to his mother Leocadia,he is survived by his brother Peter Eldredge of Hull, his uncle Everard Cupo of NJ his aunt Shirley Lefevre of FL.; also many cousins.

His services will be held on Saturday June 29th at 12:00PM in the Blanchard Funeral Chapel, Plymouth St.(Rte 58 @ the rotary circle) Whitman. Burial will be in the Mt. Vernon Cemetery, Abington. His visitation will be held 2 hours prior to his service from 10:00-12:00. Donations may be made to the American Lung Association, 460 Totten Pond Rd, #400, Waltham, MA. 02451 or www.lung.org
