Frances “Juanita” Ray Rowe, 91, of Tifton died Tuesday, June 25, 2013, at Rehabilitation Services of South Georgia. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, July 2, 2013, in the Chapel of Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals. Rev. Joseph L. Crumley will officiate with burial to follow in Oak Ridge Cemetery. Family members will serve as pallbearers. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, July 2, 2013, from 1:00 p.m. until the hour of the service at Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals.
Mrs. Rowe was born on April 26, 1922 in Berrien County and was the daughter of Robert Lee Ray and Pauline Stephens Ray, both deceased. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Carl Junior Rowe, who died in 1988; two brothers, James Ray and Aubrey Ray; and one sister, Alice Tyson. She retired from City Shoe Store, where she was a sales clerk. She was of the Baptist faith and was a lifetime resident of Tift County.
Mrs. Rowe is survived by one daughter, Marti Spooner; two sisters, Joyce Harman of Arcadia, Florida and Yvonne Spellman of Omaha, Nebraska; and two granddaughters, Danielle and Melinda Spooner.
