Dorothy (Crombie) Kimball, 94, of Methuen, passed away Friday June 21st. She was raised in Lawrence and was a graduate of Lawrence High class of 1936. Dorothy has been a resident of Methuen for the past 66 years.
Dorothy worked as a secretary for the City of Methuen for 18 years, first for the Methuen Public School system and then the Methuen Police Department retiring in 1984. She enjoyed needlepoint, knitting hats and mittens for underprivileged children, was active with Methuen Municipal Retired Association, and she was very active with the Methuen Senior Center. Dorothy loved living in Methuen and was always very proud of it.
She was the widow of the late Arthur J. Kimball and is survived by three sons Arthur J. Kimball of Methuen, Kevin Kimball and his wife Beverly of East Hampstead NH, Rand Kimball and his wife Kim of Sandown NH, she also leaves several grandchildren great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a funeral service Wednesday June 26th at 2PM at the Kenneth H. Pollard Funeral Home 233 Lawrence Street Methuen with burial to follow at Elmwood in Methuen. In lieu of flowers donations in Dorothy’s honor may be made to Methuen Senior Activity Center 77 Lowell Street Methuen MA 01844 or the Berkley Retirement Home and Nursing Center.
