Louis Marcel Ethier, 87, of Cumberland, passed away on Sunday, June 23, 2013 at Landmark Medical Center with his loving family at his side. He was the husband of the late Madeleine (Carle) Ethier. Born in Woonsocket, he was a son of the late Sylvio and Johanna (Paris) Ethier.
Louis was employed by RH Long Motor Sales Co. in Framingham, MA, and later worked for Pierce Chevrolet in Pawtucket, RI. He served his country during WWII as a member of the United States Marine Corps.
Louis was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather. He is survived by his daughters, Diane Fagnant, and Colleen Drainville both of Cumberland, and Beverly Rooney of North Attleboro, a son, Carle Ethier of Woonsocket, grandchildren, Lisa Fagnant Kurtz of Plainville, MA, and Sean Rooney of Nantucket, MA and great grandchildren Zoe, and Broderick Kurtz. He leaves two brothers, Robert Ethier of Woonsocket, and Laurent Bernard Ethier of Falmouth, MA. He was predeceased by two brothers Normand and Bertrand Ethier.
