Jerry White, 68, of Jacksonville, FL, died June 19, 2013, in Newport, WA.
Mr. White was born Nov. 18, 1944, in Kentucky. He worked in auto collision repair for more than 40 years, retiring to go into ministry. He and his wife, Vicki Smith White, both pastors, founded Freedom's Way Ministries in Jacksonville. He was also associated with Christ Guidance Mission International, headquartered in Coimbatore, India. He was a member of Destiny Church in Jacksonville.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by a daughter, Mary Mikusinski of Port St. Lucie, FL; son, K. Paul White of Green Cove Springs, FL; stepdaughter, Kitti Suydam of Cocoa Beach, FL; two brothers, Carl White and Alan White; two sisters, Barbara Newton, and Janie Reddick; and grandchildren, Amy Alexander, Traci Alexander, and Jake Brennan.
Visitation will be held Tuesday, June 25, at Greenlawn Funeral Home, 4300 Beach Rd., Jacksonville, from 2 p.m. until 4:55 p.m., followed by the funeral service at 5 p.m., officiated by Pastor Jerry Fitch of Destiny Church in Jacksonville, assisted by Pastor Rob Goyette of Living Waters World Outreach Center in Fernandina Beach, and Pastor Deon Vanstaden of Chicago. Hardage-Giddens will be in charge of the arrangements in Jacksonville.
Interment will be at noon Wednesday, June 26, at Evergreen Cemetery, Fitzgerald, GA. Paulk Funeral Home will be in charge of the arrangements in Fitzgerald.
