Johnny Wayne Hix, born to Lucille (Adcox) and John Hix on January 29, 1952, in Louisville, KY.
Wayne was a special needs person. He never met a stranger and loved everyone. He had a love for gambling and always wanted to go to Las Vegas, when he was there he loved every minute of it; but of course returned home broke. Wayne was troubled with many health issues throughout the years. Wayne was moved to Regency Rehab in 2010 where he quickly made many friends. He had fought a courageous battle against his medical problems; he lost that battle on June 22, 2013.
He is survived by his sister Janet Williams (Gary); Nephew, Bryan Payton (Kim); Niece, Sherry Robinson (Dennis); Great-Nephew, Evan Robinson and Great-Niece, Lexie Van Meter.
Funeral Service will take place at 1PM Tuesday at Owen Funeral Home-Jeffersontown, 9318 Taylorsville Road. He will be laid to rest at Evergreen Cemetery beside his loving Mother. Visiting after 10AM Tuesday at the Funeral Home.
